My Journey

My journey begins and ends by taking the road less traveled. To say my life has come full circle is an understatement. How can you describe this crazy, fun and adventurous life in just a few words? I chose the road less traveled, because somewhere in time, I knew with determination, prayer and lots of hard work, I would find the path I was meant to travel. To tell my story, I must begin at this glorious ending to help you understand the beginning. Who would have thought that one phone call from a childhood friend would change my life, and place me on a path God masterfully orchestrated by His hand? After many, and I stress many attempts to forge my own path, I would be lead right back to where it all began, my love, my passion, FLOWERS!!

I truly believe the people we meet in life, the circumstances we encounter, missed opportunities, and all of life experiences are intended to create and form you into this beautiful masterpiece you are meant to be. Nothing in life happens by chance or luck, it was all placed there by the hand of God and knowing that His timing is always perfect.

My name is, Denise Addis, I am the wife of an avid hunter and fisherman (thank goodness because we eat very well), aunt to five of the greatest blessings of my life, and now great aunt to my little chuckie, Avianna, and most of all a daughter of the KING, Jesus Christ.

My floral journey began in high school working as a florist in our local Bilo grocery store. Although, I had no experience as a florist, I feel my parental genes of creativity gave me an advantage and allowed me to have an instinctive creative side that was waiting to escape. From a chance meeting with, Eleanor Watson of Eleanor’s Flowers, the lady who taught me everything I know, and who has been my greatest “cheerleader” from the first day we met, helped me to flourish my love for floral design.

All roads do not lead through the poppy field to Oz, I was enchanted by the bright lights and veered off course and pursued a career in Occupational Therapy. For many years I thought this was my destiny, until someone spoke a word, the Lord placed a thought, and the phone call came. When the Lord spoke to my heart on Valentine’s Day 2018, my first reaction was laughter, yes, I began to laugh out loud, and could not fathom that I was being led back to my first love of flowers.

Because someone took a chance and believed in me, I am now getting to live my life long dream, opening a floral studio and letting my creative side run wild. To say the words grateful, blessed, and truly thankful is beyond measure. Because I chose the road less traveled where the path needs wear, I am eager to see what awaits me on this adventure the Lord has planned for me.
